NO DUMPING

Back on February 11th of this year, my beautiful younger sister Becky shared this story with me that she had read: "One day I was riding with a friend. We were driving in the right lane when suddenly a black car jumped out of a parking space right in front of us. My friend slammed on his breaks, skidded and missed the other car by just inches! The driver of the other car whipped his head around and started yelling at us. My buddy just smiled and waved at the guy. And I mean he was really friendly. So I asked, "Why did you just do that? That guy almost ruined your car and sent us to the hospital!" That is when my friend taught me what I now call, "The Law of the Garbage Truck." He explained that many people are like garbage trucks. They run around full of garbage, full of frustration, full of anger, and full of disappointment. As their garbage piles up, they need a place to dump it and sometimes they'll dump it on you. Don't take it personally. Just smile, wave, wish them well, and move on. Don't take their garbage and spread it to other people at work, at home, or on the streets. The bottom line is that successful people do not let garbage trucks take over their day. Life's too short to wake up in the morning with regrets, So... "Love the people who treat you right. Pray for the ones who don't." Life is ten percent of what you make it and ninety percent of how you take it!" In the greatest message of all time, Jesus said in Matthew 5:3-12, "Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled. Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God. Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. "Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you." In this fallen world we live in, it is inevitable that we will be dumped on, but how can we turn the The Law of the Garbage Truck into the Law of the Blessings Truck? I'm juz sayin...
